Your stay

This Bordeaux-based group tour takes in three of the Gironde’s most emblematic sites.

First and foremost, Bordeaux, a cultural city inextricably linked with its vineyards, also boasts a wealth of history and architecture. It has the most protected buildings in France (363), just behind Paris! Its historic center boasts an exceptional architectural heritage. A city with a prestigious past, a tourist and economic metropolis, the world’s wine capital, a university and research hub, a city of festivals and flavors, Bordeaux continues to move towards the future and does everything in its power to leave you with unforgettable memories.

After spending a full day exploring this magnificent town, you’ll head off to discover Arcachon.

At the gateway to the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park, the Bassin d’Arcachon spreads its fresh and salt waters between the Lège-Cap Ferret peninsula, the Dune du Pyla and the Leyre delta. A veritable Eldorado for oyster lovers, idlers and hikers, between the Atlantic Ocean, pine forests and oyster-farming villages. Dune du Pyla offers breathtaking panoramic views over the entire Bassin.

Your final stop is Saint-Emilion, in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards.

The medieval town of Saint-Emilion, nestled in its vineyards, has retained all the charm of its origins: old stones, Europe’s largest monolithic church, narrow streets and a breathtaking view of the surrounding vineyards… Saint-Emilion (along with the 8 communes within its jurisdiction) is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, under the heading of “Cultural Landscapes”.

After a tour of the town on foot, a bus ride through the vineyards of the Saint-Emilion jurisdiction will take you through valleys and valleys, close to the Châteaux Figeac, Pavie, Cheval Blanc, Petrus…

You'll enjoy :

  • Discover the different sites with a guide.
  • The medieval town of Saint-Emilion and its vineyards, a World Heritage Site
  • Bordeaux’s historic center, wine châteaux, the Pilat Dune
  • Discover the Bay of Arcachon’s small oyster ports by boat
  • Quality services throughout your stay.

Day 2

Commentary on the history of the streets, facades and monuments; visit the cathedral and the courtyard of the Palais Rohan.

Bordeaux is characterized by its exceptional heritage inherited from the 18th century, by the great figures of the past who made its intellectual, cultural and political reputation, and naturally by the wine that bears its name.

Bordeaux’s heritage is multi-faceted: architectural and intangible, past and future. If the image of heritage is first and foremost that of beautiful stones, the concept today extends to more recent buildings, statues and fountains, literature, gastronomy, know-how and lifestyles.

Place de la Bourse, Place du Parlement, Place Camille Julian, the beautiful mansions of Cours de l’Intendance, Place Pey-Berland, the Cathedral (inside and out), Palais Rohan, Jardins de l’hôtel de ville, 18th-century facades and mansions…
