From Vannes, a city of art and history, set off on an escapade to discover the islands of the Golfe du Morbihan by bike: l’île d’Arz and l’île aux Moines, which make up the charm of this small “inland sea”. Bicycle tours in Brittany between land, sea, islands and peninsulas.
The ferry boats, a veritable institution in the Gulf, will take you and your bicycles first to the island of Arz. This verdant island invites you to enjoy the gentle pace of life. The island is alive with visitors who come to rediscover it every year, but also with young farmers who are reclaiming the island for organic production. A number of megalithic monuments bear witness to the fact that people have lived here for thousands of years.
You’ll then make your way to the south of the Gulf, passing the Séné peninsula, an invitation to birdwatching, then the Rhuys peninsula, its marina and the medieval castle of Suscinio.
After a night in Arzon and a stroll to Port Navalo, gateway to the Gulf of Morbihan, a new ferryman will take you to Ile aux Moines, the largest island in the Gulf. Follow the many paths through the woods, past pretty gardens and villas, and along beaches lined with picturesque cabins.
A final boat trip to the mainland and a leisurely return to Vannes. A gentle cycling trip ideal for couples or families.

Day 1 - Arrival in Vannes

Day 2 - Day trip to Arz Island

Welcome and meeting with our guide at 8 or 9 am at your accommodation.
About 3km away, you’ll reach the pier, where you’ll leave the beautiful city of Vannes by boat for the Ile d’Arz. Free cycling on this small island. Overnight on the island (comfort version) or in Vannes (superior version).
Day 3 - Île d'Arz (or Vannes) to Arzon

The first boat takes you to the Séné peninsula. A few kilometers of cruising at the bottom of the Gulf, surrounded by birds. A ferry then takes you to the Rhuys peninsula. You follow the southern shores of the Petite Mer to reach Arzon. In between, the Château de Suscinio and the small village of Sarzeau enhance this pretty route of small roads and greenways.
Day 4 - Arzon to Vannes via Ile aux Moines

A 3km bike ride takes you to the landing stage for Ile aux Moines (departure at 9 or 10 a.m. depending on the season).
The ferryman takes you to Ile aux Moines for your last day on the island. A pleasant discovery of the island on the small car-free roads of this little paradise. Free cycling on this small island. It will no doubt be with regret that you’ll have to take the boat back to the northern shores of the Golfe to reach Vannes.

We take care of transporting your luggage every time you change accommodation, so you can travel light and enjoy your day’s hiking.
Leave your luggage at the reception desk of your accommodation before departure.
At the end of the afternoon, you’ll meet them at the reception desk of your new accommodation or directly in your room.
Luggage accepted per person: 1 suitcase or travel bag (maximum 23 kg) + 1 carry-on.
Your travel file corresponds to the documents or files you receive prior to your trip (generally one month before) and/or on arrival at your first accommodation.

- Download the “Evazio” application onto your smartphone for GPS navigation with visual (reading the route on your smartphone screen) and/or spoken guidance. The application also contains practical and tourist information. Once the trip has been downloaded, no Internet connection is required.
- Loan of a GPS device with pre-recorded tracks
- Send GPX tracks of each stage for use with your own navigation device
