Your stay

Discover the best of Brittany’s Côte d’Armor by bike: Côte de Granit Rose, Paimpol and Ile de Bréhat.

Among the many coasts of Brittany, the Pink Granite Coast – by bike – is certainly the one with the strongest personality, north of Lannion, with Perros-Guirec, Trégastel, Pleumeur-Bodou and Trébeurden. Here, the pink granite chaos formed over 300 million years ago, and sculpted by the combined action of wind, rain, salt and frost, together with the sea, form extraordinary landscapes, natural pearls of authentic Brittany.

After a first night in Lannion, you’re off to the Armorican coast and the Pointe de Bihit. Already a breathtaking panorama. After a warm-up ride on the “vélomaritime” bike route through the Breton countryside on the edge of the wild coast, you’ll arrive at the foot of the Ploumanac’h lighthouse, where the spectacle of pink granite boulders can begin! You reach the village of Perros-Guirec.

A change of style as you head east. The pink loses its ardor, but the coastline that unfolds before you to your stopover in Tréguier, a small town full of character, remains wild and chaotic. It offers many surprises, such as the Pointe du Château and the famous Castelmeur house.

The next day, you’ll succumb to the charms of Brittany’s historic fishing ports. This bike tour takes you to one of the most famous, Paimpol. Whether it’s a festival of sea chanteys or old riggings, a sailboat race or a ceremony in honor of those lost at sea, the town offers many festivities in the harbor. A rich history with Newfoundland and the fiery spirit of the Paimpol sailors who set sail for several months each year. Cod-flavored cuisine is still a specialty here, and we invite you to sample it for yourself. To continue this journey, we’d like to take you on a little jaunt to a flower-filled island, a little jewel on the north coast: Bréhat.

Finally, you’ll cycle inland through the village of Pontrieux, Brittany’s small listed historic town, before reaching Lannion, the end of your cycling tour of northern Brittany.

You'll enjoy :

  • The lighthouse and rocks of Ploumanac’h
  • La maison de Castelmeur, the famous house between the rocks
  • A boat trip to discover the island of Bréhat
  • The port of Paimpol and the seaside resort of Perros-Guirec
  • The charming village of Pontrieux, “Little Venice of the Trégor region”.

Daily program

Day 1 - Lannion

Welcome at your hotel. Night in Lannion.

Night with breakfast in hotel

Day 2 - Lannion to Perros-Guirec

From Lannion, the route offers a beautiful hike between land and sea. You reach the Pointe de Bihit in Trébeurden, with its breathtaking panorama. The route takes you to the foot of the Ploumanac’h lighthouse in the heart of the pink granite coast. The spectacle of pink granite boulders begins! You reach the village of Perros-Guirec.

Night with breakfast in hotel

Day 3 - Perros-Guirec to Minihy-Tréguier

You leave the beautiful seaside resort of Perros-Guirec and follow the wild coastline in its never-regular contours. The pink gradually recedes, giving way to the gorse coast. You reach the Pointe du Château to discover the famous “house between the rocks”. A short distance away, the Gouffre de Castel Meur. Continue upstream along the Jaudy to the picturesque town of Tréguier. The village’s church, narrow streets and numerous granite and half-timbered houses are all part of its charm.

Night with breakfast in hotel

Day 4 - Minihy-Tréguier to Paimpol

You pass through Tréguier, a beautiful little town of character, and then the Jaudy, which borders it. Following the Trieux, you come to a small town called Lézardrieux. Set back from the sea but bathed by the waters of the English Channel, the village is perched on the edge of the estuary. Cross the Trieux and leave the Trégor to join the Goëlo. Paimpol is the largest port. Your journey ends on the quayside, leaving you the rest of the day to discover this fishing town.

Night with breakfast in hotel

Day 5 - Day on the island of Bréhat

On the agenda for the day: the island of Bréhat! To do this, you’ll need to cover the 7km separating you from the Pointe de l’Arcouest. By boat, cross the few hundred meters that separate the pointe de l’Arcouest from the island of Bréhat. Welcome to an island whose exotic vegetation seems far removed from France! Today, the island’s microclimate makes Agapanthus the most widely cultivated plant on the island! There are no cars on Bréhat, so it’s a real pleasure to get around on foot or by bike! The Peacock lighthouse, carved out of the same pink rock as Ploumanac’h, forms the end of the island and offers a beautiful maritime panorama.

Night with breakfast in hotel

Day 6 - Paimpol to Lannion

This stage to Lannion takes you inland, giving you the opportunity to discover some of Brittany’s small towns of character: La Roche Derrien and, above all, Pontrieux. The latter owes its name to the bridge that crosses the Trieux – the river that separates the Goëlo from the Trégor, two historic lands of seigneurial Brittany.

Night with breakfast in hotel

Day 7 - Departure

End of stay after breakfast.
