Short cycling trip in Burgundy starting from Beaune

Cycling in Burgundy through its famous vineyards, starting from Beaune. On the program: Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, Grands Crus, the magnificent Hospices de Beaune, listed natural and cultural sites and peaceful cycling routes!

This cycling trip will take you through the different Burgundy terroirs to the north and south of Beaune on cycle paths, small country roads in the heart of the vineyards, through colorful fields.

First of all, Beaune, a fortified city in the heart of France’s Burgundy wine region. Surrounded by the vineyards of the Côte d’Or, the town’s cobbled streets are famous for its annual wine auction, held at the Hospices de Beaune. A visit to the hospices is a must! Recognizable by its roof of colorful geometric tiles, this former 15th-century hospital has now become the Hôtel-Dieu museum, displaying masterpieces such as Rogier van der Weyden’s Last Judgment. 3 evenings await you in this charming little town… an opportunity to savor the local gastronomy in some of its many gourmet restaurants.

Your bike rides will take you to the famous wine villages of Vosne Romanée, Vougeot (with its Château Clos de Vougeot), Gevrey Chambertin, Pommard and Volnay… the kingdom of Burgundy red wines. Beautiful, peaceful roads through vineyards and woods.

Every day, you can stop off at a winery for a tasting session. We can also book tasting tours for you in advance.

Accommodation in 3-star hotels. Possibility of upgrade to 5-star hotel.

You'll enjoy :

  • Beaune, capital of Burgundy wines
  • Côtes de Nuits and Côtes de Beaune wine routes
  • Château de Vougeot and the famous villages of Vosne Romanée, Gevrey Chambertin, Puligny Montrachet…
